Two-light giraffe
Floor lamp, 1957
With its slender form and flat surface, Rispal's Giraffe is a light fixture endowed with movement, ready to hold a manuscript or a precious trinket. It embodies that "living object" so dear to Jean Cocteau. In 1950s Paris, François Rispal brilliantly captures the lyricism and surrealist spirit of which the poet was the leading figure.

Each Rispal Paris creation is born in our French workshops, handcrafted by artisans trained in the art of working with wood, metal, and weaving—the same expertise that has defined the house since the 1950s. Once completed, each piece is assigned a unique edition number, engraved and recorded in our register, and comes with a Rispal Paris Certificate of Authenticity attesting to its origin, materials, and date of manufacture.

Each light fixture is adorned with a brass plate stamped with the Rispal name. The rounded wood complements the metal base in a finely balanced design.
The power cord, available in several colors, accentuates the giraffe's long, slender neck like a haute couture detail.
